What are our fees? Please email info@intentionalalternatives.com to discuss our fees or inquire when you are making your first appointment. When you are covered by a health insurance you are responsible for the co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles related to your specific plan. Your insurance company may cover a percentage of the charges for psychotherapy services and then you are responsible for the remainder. Insurance deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance vary by policy and are determined by your insurance company. Our practice does not waive or discount these charges. All payments are due at time of your appointment unless previous arrangements were made with the therapist. We accept cash, checks, HRA, HSA, and FSA cards, credit cards, PayPal, and CashApp. Absolutely no post-dated checks will be accepted.
Are the services covered by health insurance? Our counseling services are covered by most types of insurance under outpatient mental health treatment or your behavioral health benefits. To be certain, please check your mental health benefits or contact your insurer regarding deductibles, co-payments, pre-certification, and pre-authorization requirements and to verify if they cover the type of counseling you are seeking.
What are the office hours? We try to accommodate your schedule by offering some evening hours and weekend hours in addition to normal business hours. Sessions are by appointment only.
What if I Self-pay or have a Liability Case? You will be considered “self-pay” if you do not have insurance coverage, your insurance plan does not participate with this office, or if we do not have your valid insurance card on file with us. In other words, you will be responsible for the entire bill. Also, if the information we have for you is not acceptable to your insurance company, and you fail to update that information, you will be considered self-pay. Liability cases will also be considered self-pay accounts. We do NOT accept attorney letters or contingency arrangements. Self-pay patients will be required to bring pay for each session at the beginning of that session. Please speak directly with the therapist to reach a mutually agreeable payment plan. It is never our intent to cause hardship for our patients, only to provide them with the best care possible.
